Program Fees

Reaping Hope (RH) is a non-governmental, not- for- profit organization affiliated with the Social Welfare Council of Nepal with many community programs running since its establishment. The RH volunteering project is a fundraising program which will directly fund the ongoing programs of RH including the Sponsor a Grandparent Program and Elderly Literacy Classes run in different location.

Volunteering with RH will not only enhance your experience but also support the senior citizens and youth of Nepal through our community programs. The fees will directly go to fund your volunteering experience in Nepal, including transport, food, accommodation, induction, and towards funding our  programs in the community, along with the every day administrative costs that come with it.

To book your program, 15% of the program cost should be paid in advance which will cover the processing charge of your volunteering program and also assure your intake. The remainder can be paid once you are here in Nepal.

The program cost will cover the following things:

  1. Pick up from and drop to Airport
  2. Transportation to and from RH office to placement areas (in case of out of valley placement)
  3. Nepali Sim Card (An unlocked phone should be arranged by you)
  4. Program introduction session cost 
  5. Logistics for Kathmandu sight seeing (Permits will be on your own expense) 
  6. Basic Nepali language orientation
  7. Breakfast and lunch during 3 days induction classes
  8. Accommodation (twin sharing/same gender) and 3 Nepali meals a day during your volunteering(in budget hotels or host families, depending on your program)
  9. Administrative costs during volunteering 
  10. Support cost for placement areas
  11. Funding for community programs

The program cost excludes the following:

  1. Airfare and visa processing fees
  2. Medical insurance and vaccination fees (if needed)
  3. Permits to heritage sites  
  4. Local transportation cost (your everyday cost for local transportation will generally be less than $2)
  5. Personal travel costs and sightseeing 
  6. Any extra activities like bungee, treks, rafting, hiking, safari etc. (RH will arrange for these in affordable cost if needed)
  7. Laundry, shopping, souvenirs and gifts
  8. Mobile phone credit top up
  9. Drinks and night outs 
  10. Extra food during program (besides 3 Nepali Meals) or weekends
